We offer Hot Air Balloon Rides that can be taken at 150 locations around the country for use in Live and Silent Auctions. The tickets are provided by Soaring Adventures of America, Inc.--a family business that has been around for 27 years. The rides are made available through our free Live and Silent Auction Kit. You can either click here and print the kit from this website, or click here and enter your name and mailing address into our online form and we will mail you a hard copy. Once you have the kit, you have everything you need to include a hot air balloon ride in your auction.
Our Non-profit Pricing We know you are working hard to secure 100% donations for your auctions. But, as you can imagine, we can't offer 100% donations to hundreds of organizations year after year. So, in order to have the broadest reach in supporting nonprofit organizations, we offer the deepest discount our company can afford (40%) to every non-profit organization that is interested. The retail price for the Hot Air Balloon Ride for Two is $400--we offer it to non-profit organizations for $240. The retail price for the Hot Air Balloon Ride for Four People is $800--we offer it to non-profit organizations for $480.
We know that even with the
discount, that sounds like a lot of money. You are a non-profit. It doesn't make any sense for you to spend money until you
know you have made money.
So, here is how we make the

Once You Have The Kit, There Are Just Four Simple Steps
2. Set the Minimum Bid: Where you start the bidding is up to you. Just keep in mind that the cost for a Hot Air Balloon For Two People is $240 and the cost for a Hot Air Balloon Ride for Four People is $480. We recommend that you start the bidding at, or just above, your cost for the ride. Depending on how the other items in your auction are set up, you can choose whether or not to advertise the retail price of the ride. 3. Order The Ticket(s) After Your Auction (Only if the Item is successful. If no one bids on it, you are not required to purchase the ticket.) Within 21 days of the close of your auction, complete the Order Form on the last page of the kit and either fax or mail in your payment as instructed on the form. FundraisingRides.org will put your ticket(s) in the mail to you the same day the order is received. If your order is not received within 21 days of the close of your auction, your organization will be charged the full retail price (Why 21 days? see Note from Jenna below).*
4.
Send the Ticket(s) to the Winning Bidder(s):
When you receive the ticket(s) in the mail, you can either mail or present
the ticket(s) to the winning bidder(s). |

Note from Jenna, FundraisingRides Marketing Director: "I wish we didn't have to be so definitive on the 21-day policy. Unfortunately, we had to enact this policy because many organizations auctioned off our rides and forgot to buy the tickets. We received hundreds of calls from winning bidders wanting to take their balloon rides, only to find out the non-profit organizations never purchased the tickets. It is embarrassing for us as well as the non-profit organization. We either had to put this policy into effect, or require pre-payment of the rides--which we did not want to do. I hope you understand our position on this. As long as you are on top of placing your order after your event, it should have no impact on using our Live and Silent Auction Kit." |
